HerbFest 2012 Schedule of Events Held To Benefit The GJCAE :

Friday, April 19 -   Open from:   9 - 6 p.m.

   Find the unusual today before they are gone!!!  Limited herbs today as growers will have 70 -100 of the more difficult to find type herbs which the Herbanites look for. Example cardoon, culantro, patchouli, borage type herbs in limited supply.

  • Live Ducks daily - Duck Parade every morning at 10 a.m.,  if the ducks cooperate.  Bring the kids and enjoy this "breathtaking" exhibit of the waddlers.
  • Live Bunny rabbits daily
  • Unusual Herbs Throughout HerbFest - Herbs replenished during week.   All herbs have been hardened off prior to sale so accustomed to weather and can be planted immediately if desired.
  • During the week we have children from local schools often visiting for an introduction to the Herbfest.  You are certainly welcome to listen in and enjoy with the kids.  Visits generally occur in the mornings starting around 9 a.m. and continuing till Noon.
2nd grade will come from 9am-10am ( arriving around 9:15am and leave by 9:45am) and kindergarten will come up at 11am ( arrive 11:15am) then leave after lunch by 12:30pm

Herbanite Weekend - April 20 - 23 - For the real herbal enthusiast who has to have the most uncommon herbs.

8 am. - 11 a.m. Weekend Garden Show : Live Remote from WPTF Radio, 680 AM, - 8 - 11 a.m. - Come on out, bring a lounge chair, and enjoy local celebs Mike Raley and Ann Clapp.

$20 for Microchips and $10 for Rabies vaccinations - Cats to be brought in cat carrier and dogs on leash please.

10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Franklin Academy Dog Wash - Dog washes by members of 
FA student council all day for voluntary contribution to GJCAE

Franklin Academy Jazz Band Performing Twice During Day - Times TBA

10a.m. - 1 p.m.  Franklin Academy Visual & Performing Arts Showcase - Variety of performances from FA Musical theater, choir and Jazz band.  Selections from FA recent production of "Seussical The Musical" and some classic "Big Band" Tunes.

1 p.m. - N. C. Conservatory School of Performing Arts - Scenes from Peter Pan and Grease
